If you are searching for Sherry Holmes biography, you are likely interested in more than just her connection to Canadian contractor and television personality Mike Holmes. Sherry Holmes has developed her own career as a contractor, television personality, public speaker, skilled-trades advocate, and renovation content creator. She has worked on Holmes family productions, participated in programs supporting women in skilled trades, and more recently taken a leading role in the digital renovation series Summer Holmes.
Sherry Holmes’ exact net worth is not publicly verified. Some online biography sources have reported an estimate of approximately $2 million, but there is no publicly available audited financial statement, tax record, investment portfolio, or business valuation that independently confirms that figure. Therefore, the $2 million amount should be treated as an unverified online estimate, not a confirmed personal fortune.
The more useful way to understand Sherry Holmes’ financial position is through her documented career. Her professional activities include construction, television, public speaking, brand and media work, and advocacy for women entering the skilled trades. Her career has also expanded beyond appearing alongside her father, with projects increasingly highlighting her own experience as a contractor and builder.
Sherry Holmes Net Worth
Sherry Holmes’ exact net worth is not publicly known.
A number of celebrity-biography websites publish estimates about the finances of television personalities, but those figures are often calculated without access to private financial records. In Sherry’s case, one widely circulated estimate is approximately $2 million. Legit.ng has reported that amount while also presenting it as an approximation rather than a verified financial figure.
That distinction is important.
A reported celebrity net worth is not the same thing as an audited financial statement. Without access to Sherry Holmes’ private income, investments, property holdings, business interests, debts, taxes, and other financial information, there is no reliable way to calculate her exact wealth.
What is the safest estimate for Sherry Holmes’ net worth?
The safest answer is:
Sherry Holmes’ net worth has not been independently verified. Some online biography sources have estimated it at around $2 million, but this remains an unofficial estimate.
This wording provides readers with the figure they are searching for without presenting speculation as fact.
It also avoids a common problem in celebrity net-worth articles: taking a number from one website and repeating it as though it were an official financial record.
Why online net-worth estimates vary
Celebrity net-worth estimates can differ because websites may use different assumptions.
For example, one site might consider television appearances, while another may also estimate income from:
- Construction work
- Public speaking
- Brand partnerships
- Social-media activity
- Digital content
- Property
- Business interests
- Television production
- Other professional appearances
However, the public does not know exactly how much Sherry Holmes earns from each of these activities.
Her contracts are private, and there is no public financial disclosure that shows her total annual earnings.
That makes a precise number impossible to establish from reliable public information.
Mike Holmes’ wealth should not be included.
Another important issue is Sherry’s relationship with Mike Holmes.
Mike Holmes is her father and has built a substantial public career in construction, television, and related businesses. Sherry has worked with him professionally for many years.
However, Mike Holmes’ wealth is not automatically part of Sherry Holmes’ net worth.
A parent and adult child can work together professionally without having identical financial assets. Similarly, the success of the Holmes television brand does not establish how much money Sherry personally owns.
For that reason, this article evaluates Sherry’s career separately from her father’s finances.
What can be confirmed about her financial career?
Although her exact wealth is private, her professional activities are well documented.
Make It Right describes Sherry Holmes as a contractor, TV host, keynote speaker, brand ambassador, social-media personality, and ambassador for women in the skilled trades.
Skills/Compétences Canada has also identified her as a contractor and television personality and has featured her in its programs supporting women in skilled trades.
These activities demonstrate that Sherry has several professional avenues rather than relying on a single occupation.
How Sherry Holmes Makes Money
Sherry Holmes has built a career across construction, television, speaking, media, and advocacy.
The exact amount she earns from each activity is not publicly disclosed, so the following categories should be understood as documented professional activities and potential income sources, not as specific salary figures.
Construction and Contracting
Construction is one of the most important parts of Sherry Holmes’ professional career.
Her official Make It Right biography describes her as a contractor and explains how she moved from working behind the scenes on Holmes on Homes into more direct involvement with the Holmes construction team.
Her construction experience is significant because it gives her a professional identity beyond television.
Sherry has worked on renovation and building projects where practical construction knowledge is central to the job. She has also used that experience in television productions and digital renovation projects.
Construction work can generate income through contracting, project work, production-related construction activity and other professional arrangements.
However, Sherry’s individual contracting revenue is private.
It would therefore be inaccurate to claim that she earns a specific annual amount from construction without a reliable source.
Television Work
Television is another major part of Sherry Holmes’ career.
IMDb lists her in connection with several Holmes productions, including Holmes Inspection, Holmes Makes It Right, Holmes Makes It Right: Retooled, Holmes Family Effect, Holmes Family Rescue, and Holmes on Homes: Building a Legacy.
Her roles have included construction-related work as well as appearing as herself on camera.
Television compensation depends on the production, role, contract, number of episodes, and other contractual factors.
Because Sherry’s individual television compensation has not been publicly disclosed, no specific salary should be attributed to her.
Public Speaking
Sherry Holmes also works as a public speaker.
Her professional biographies identify her as a keynote speaker and advocate for women in the skilled trades.
Her speaking topics are closely connected to her own experience, particularly:
- Construction
- Women in skilled trades
- Career development
- Youth opportunities
- Resilience
- Working in a traditionally male-dominated industry
Some speaker agencies may advertise booking rates for public figures. However, an advertised speaking rate should never automatically be interpreted as the speaker’s personal income.
A booking fee may involve agencies, travel, taxes, production arrangements, and other expenses.
Because Sherry’s actual speaking income is private, this article does not use an advertised booking rate to calculate her net worth.
Brand and Ambassador Work
Make It Right identifies Sherry Holmes as a brand ambassador and social-media personality.
This creates potential opportunities through partnerships, promotional campaigns, media appearances, and other brand-related work.
However, individual contracts are not publicly disclosed.
It would therefore be inappropriate to assign a specific annual endorsement income to her.
Digital Content
Digital content has become an increasingly important part of Sherry’s professional profile.
Her renovation series Summer Holmes provides a particularly strong example.
The project is presented by Make It Right as a digital series starring Sherry and focusing on her own work as a contractor and builder.
Digital projects can create opportunities through advertising, sponsorships, platform revenue, partnerships, and related media work.
But again, there is no reliable public information showing how much Sherry earns from the project.
Sherry Holmes Biography: Early Life and Family Background
A major part of Sherry Holmes’ biography is her upbringing around construction.
Sherry is the daughter of Mike Holmes, the Canadian contractor and television personality known for home-renovation programs including Holmes on Homes.
She also grew up alongside her siblings, including Mike Holmes Jr. and Amanda Holmes.
Her family’s construction background gave her early exposure to renovation and building.
However, her career was not simply created by being Mike Holmes’ daughter.
Her professional development involved years of production work, construction experience, and participation in renovation projects.
Growing Up Around Construction
Construction was already part of Sherry’s environment because of her father’s career.
Make It Right explains that she started behind the scenes on Holmes on Homes.
That early experience exposed her to the production side of television while also allowing her to observe the practical work taking place on renovation sites.
This combination eventually became important to her own career.
Her Early Work Behind the Scenes
According to IMDb, Sherry worked as a production assistant on Holmes on Homes during the 2000s.
IMDb also credits her with construction-crew work on several later Holmes productions.
This is an important detail because it shows that her television career developed over time.
She was not simply introduced to television as an established on-screen personality.
She initially worked behind the camera and around production before becoming more visible as a construction professional and television personality.
Sherry Holmes Age and Birth Details
Sherry Holmes is widely reported as having been born on June 21, 1987.
Based on that reported date, she is 39 years old as of October 2026.
The date is widely reproduced in biographical sources, but because her strongest official professional biographies focus on her career rather than civil-record information, it is better described as a reported birth date rather than an independently verified government record.
Where was Sherry Holmes born?
Some biography websites identify Sherry Holmes as being born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Because the available sources are not equally strong on the precise birthplace, the safest description is:
Reported birthplace: Ontario, Canada, with Toronto, Ontario, commonly listed by biography sources.
This avoids presenting a potentially inconsistent detail as more certain than the available evidence supports.
Nationality
Sherry Holmes is Canadian and has built most of her public professional career within Canada’s construction and television industries.
Her work with Skills/Compétences Canada also places her prominently within Canada’s skilled-trades community.
Sherry Holmes Education and Career Preparation
Detailed information about Sherry Holmes’ formal education is less prominent in authoritative professional biographies than her practical career experience.
Her professional development has been heavily connected to hands-on construction and television production.
This is important because construction careers can involve substantial practical learning that does not always appear in conventional celebrity biographies.
Sherry gained experience through:
- Working around renovation projects
- Television production
- Construction crews
- Practical building work
- Working with experienced tradespeople
- Public-facing skilled-trades advocacy
Her career illustrates how practical experience can become an important part of professional development in the construction industry.
Sherry Holmes Career Journey
The career history is one of the most important sections of any Sherry Holmes biography because it explains how she moved from working behind the scenes to becoming a recognized contractor and television personality.
Starting on Holmes on Homes
Sherry began her professional journey around her father’s television production.
Make It Right states that she started behind the scenes on Holmes on Homes.
IMDb’s credits provide additional detail, listing her as a production assistant on the program during the 2000s.
This early role gave her insight into both television production and construction.
It also created an opportunity for her to learn from professionals working on real renovation projects.
Moving Into Construction
Sherry eventually became more directly involved in construction.
Her career developed from office and production-related work toward hands-on involvement in the trade.
Make It Right’s biography describes her as a contractor and explains her progression into the Holmes construction team.
This transition is particularly important because it established her professional credibility within construction rather than limiting her identity to television.
Holmes in New Orleans
One of the important milestones in Sherry’s career was her involvement with the Holmes family’s work in New Orleans.
Make It Right describes her as becoming a permanent crew member when she joined her father and brother on Holmes in New Orleans.
The project gave her practical experience in construction while also expanding the family’s television work.
It was an important bridge between her earlier behind-the-scenes experience and her later identity as a contractor.
Holmes Inspection
IMDb lists Sherry as part of the construction crew for Holmes Inspection.
The series focused on homeowners dealing with problems connected to poor inspections, inadequate work, and serious renovation issues.
Sherry’sSherry’s involvement gave her another opportunity to work within the Holmes renovation format while developing practical experience.
IMDb lists her construction-crew credits on the series across dozens of episodes.
Holmes Makes It Right
Sherry also worked on Holmes Makes It Right.
The series continued the Holmes family’s focus on correcting serious construction and renovation problems.
Her participation helped establish her as part of the broader Holmes construction team.
Holmes: Next Generation
Another important stage was Holmes: Next Generation.
The series featured Mike Holmes working alongside his children, including Sherry and Mike Holmes Jr.
The program represented a natural progression for the Holmes family because it placed the next generation more prominently in television and construction work.
For Sherry, it increased her visibility as both a family member and a construction professional.
Holmes Family Effect
In 2021, Sherry appeared in Holmes Family Effect alongside Mike Holmes and Mike Holmes Jr.
IMDb describes the program as following the Holmes family as they work on projects involving community organizations and institutions.
One episode, for example, involved renovating classrooms at Judith Nyman Secondary School.
The program broadened the Holmes family’s television work beyond conventional homeowner renovation projects.
It also allowed Sherry to participate in projects where construction was connected with community improvement.
Holmes Family Rescue
Holmes Family Rescue became another major television project.
IMDb lists Sherry as a recurring member of the cast, with appearances across the series.
The show follows Mike Holmes and his children as they help homeowners dealing with serious renovation problems.
Sherry’s participation in the program demonstrates the continued combination of her television career and practical construction background.
Her husband, Blake Steed, has also appeared in the series in a site-supervisor role.
Holmes on Homes: Building a Legacy
Another recent chapter is Holmes on Homes: Building a Legacy.
IMDb lists Sherry as part of the cast, with appearances extending from 2024 into 2026.
The series brings Mike Holmes together with his children to help homeowners repair failed renovations and create safer, more livable homes.
For Sherry, the show represents another stage in the Holmes family’s television legacy while keeping her connected to construction.
Summer Holmes: Sherry Holmes’ Independent Renovation Project
One of the most interesting recent developments in Sherry Holmes’ biography is Summer Holmes.
The project deserves separate attention because it provides evidence of Sherry taking a more central leadership role in a renovation project.
Make It Right describes Summer Holmes as a digital series starring Sherry Holmes.
The project follows her renovation of a 1940s cottage at Westview Beach Villas in the Sauble Beach area of Ontario.
The Cottage Renovation
The renovation involves an aging cottage that requires extensive work.
Make It Right describes the project as taking the structure down to the studs and rebuilding it with modern upgrades while attempting to preserve its original character.
The work includes areas such as:
- Insulation
- Windows and doors
- Kitchen
- Bathroom
- Flooring
- Drywall
- Structural improvements
- Interior design
- Modern building upgrades
The project demonstrates the practical side of Sherry’s construction experience.
Why Summer Holmes Matters
The project is significant because Make It Right explicitly describes it as a departure from simply presenting Sherry as Mike Holmes’ daughter.
Instead, the series focuses on Sherry’s own voice, experience, and perspective as a contractor and builder.
That makes Summer Holmes an important milestone in her career.
It also gives readers a more complete picture of how her professional identity has developed.
She began with the Holmes family television environment, developed practical construction experience, and eventually moved toward projects in which she takes a leading role.
Sherry Holmes and Women in Skilled Trades
Another defining part of Sherry Holmes’ career is her work encouraging women to consider skilled trades.
This aspect is especially important because it adds professional depth beyond her television appearances.
Make It Right identifies Sherry as an ambassador for women in skilled trades and highlights her support for youth and young women interested in construction.
She has also worked with organizations and programs including Skills/Compétences Canada, SkillsUSA, WorldSkills, and Conestoga College’s Jill of All Trades.
Her Personal Experience as a Woman in Construction
Sherry has spoken about entering construction at a time when there were relatively few women on job sites.
In a Holmes On Homes podcast episode, she discussed being a woman in the trades and explained that she encountered an environment where she did not often see other women working on construction sites.
Her experience gives context to her advocacy.
She is not discussing the trades only from an outside perspective.
She has personal experience working in construction and learning skills across different areas of renovation.
Skills Canada
Sherry has maintained a visible relationship with Skills/Compétences Canada.
In 2025, Skills Canada identified her as a contractor, TV personality and champion for women in skilled trades.
In 2026, the organization again included Sherry in the Skills Canada National Competition in Toronto.
The official 2026 material identified her as a contractor, TV personality, and DIY enthusiast and included her in programming connected to Empowering Women in Trades.
This shows that her advocacy remains an active part of her public career rather than simply a historical biography detail.
Mentoring Young Women
Sherry has also supported mentorship programs designed to encourage young women to explore skilled careers.
Make It Right specifically highlights her involvement with Conestoga College’s Jill of All Trades and Women in Skilled Trades initiatives.
Her work in this area connects her television visibility with a practical social goal: encouraging more people to consider skilled careers.
Sherry Holmes Career Highlights
Rather than creating an artificial awards list, Sherry’s most meaningful career highlights are connected to her work.
Contractor and Construction Professional
Sherry has developed practical experience as a contractor and renovation professional.
This remains one of the most important aspects of her professional identity.
Television Personality
Her television career spans multiple Holmes productions.
Her work has included construction-crew responsibilities as well as on-screen appearances.
Skilled-Trades Advocate
Her ongoing involvement with Skills/Compétences Canada and women-in-trades programs is another significant part of her career.
Public Speaker
Her professional biography identifies her as a keynote speaker.
She uses public appearances to discuss construction, skilled trades, and opportunities for women.
Digital Renovation Creator
Summer Holmes represents a newer stage of her career in which she leads a renovation project for digital audiences.
Sherry Holmes Personal Life
Sherry Holmes is married to Blake Steed, a contractor who has also worked in the Holmes construction environment.
Their relationship has a direct connection to construction.
According to Wedding Bells, Sherry met Blake while her team was working on the rebuilding and filming of the High Park castle playground in Toronto in 2012.
Blake was working as a framer on the project.
The two later became friends, began dating, and eventually married.
Sherry Holmes and Blake Steed
Sherry Holmes and Blake Steed married on December 13, 2018, in St. Lucia, according to IMDb and Weddingbells.
Weddingbells reported that the couple married on their fifth anniversary and described their relationship as beginning through their shared work on the High Park playground project.
Their relationship is another example of how closely Sherry’s personal and professional life have been connected to the construction industry.
Sherry Holmes’ Children
IMDb identifies Sherry and Blake as the parents of two children:
- Cali Kay Holmes Steed
- Oaklyn Summer Holmes Steed
IMDb lists Cali as born in April 2019 and Oaklyn as born in October 2021.
Because the children are minors, there is little value in including unnecessary personal information beyond basic publicly documented family facts.
Sherry Holmes as a Working Mother
Make It Right describes Sherry as a working mother with two daughters.
Her career therefore involves balancing professional construction and television work with family life.
This is particularly relevant to her public advocacy for women in the skilled trades because her own career combines motherhood with work in a traditionally male-dominated industry.
Sherry Holmes and Mike Holmes
Mike Holmes is one of the most important professional figures in Sherry’s biography.
He is her father and was a major influence on her exposure to construction.
However, their relationship should be understood in both personal and professional terms.
Sherry did not simply appear on television because she was Mike Holmes’ daughter.
Her documented career includes production work, construction-crew work, television appearances, public speaking, and skilled-trades advocacy.
At the same time, working with her father gave her access to an established construction and television environment.
That family connection clearly influenced her career path.
Sherry Holmes and Mike Holmes Jr.
Sherry’s brother Mike Holmes Jr. has also developed a career in construction and television.
The siblings have appeared together in Holmes productions.
This has allowed the Holmes family to create a television format in which multiple generations participate in renovation and construction projects.
Sherry Holmes Brain Tumor Story
A sensitive part of Sherry Holmes’ public biography concerns a brain tumor she experienced as a teenager.
This information should not be repeated based solely on celebrity-blog claims because it involves personal medical history.
In August 2025, the Meagan Bebenek Foundation published Sherry Holmes’ story describing her experience of being diagnosed with a brain tumor as a teenager.
The foundation’s account says that what began as routine headaches led to the discovery of a large brain tumor requiring immediate surgery.
The foundation also identifies Sherry as an ambassador for the organization.
This is a reliable basis for including the event in a biography because the information comes from the organization with which Sherry publicly works.
The story also connects with her advocacy.
As an ambassador, Sherry uses her public platform to support awareness and fundraising related to pediatric brain-tumor research.
Because this is sensitive medical information, the relevant facts should be presented respectfully without speculation about her current health.
Sherry Holmes Assets and Lifestyle
There is limited reliable public information about Sherry Holmes’ personally owned assets.
For that reason, a responsible biography should not create a luxury-lifestyle section filled with guessed property values, vehicles, or expensive purchases.
Real Estate
No sufficiently reliable public information has been identified to establish a detailed personal real-estate portfolio for Sherry Holmes.
Therefore, this article does not assign a value to a home or claim ownership of specific luxury properties without documentation.
Vehicles
There is similarly no need to speculate about expensive vehicles.
Owning a particular vehicle would not, by itself, establish a person’s net worth.
Professional Assets
The most relevant assets in Sherry’s public career are professional rather than luxury-focused.
They include:
- Construction skills
- Renovation experience
- Television experience
- Industry relationships
- Public-speaking experience
- Digital media presence
- Skilled-trades advocacy
- Professional reputation
These career assets help explain how she has built a sustainable public profile.

Sherry Holmes Biography: Final Summary
The story of Sherry Holmes is much broader than her relationship to the Holmes family.
She grew up around construction through her father, Mike Holmes, and began her career behind the scenes on Holmes on Homes. She gradually moved into construction and became part of the Holmes renovation team.
Her television career subsequently expanded through projects including Holmes Inspection, Holmes Makes It Right, Holmes Family Effect, Holmes Family Rescue, and Holmes on Homes: Building a Legacy.
At the same time, she developed an independent professional identity.
Sherry Holmes is now recognized as a contractor, television personality, public speaker, and advocate for women in skilled trades. Her involvement with Skills/Compétences Canada and related organizations has allowed her to encourage young women to consider careers in construction.
Her recent Summer Holmes project is particularly significant because it places her own construction skills and perspective at the center of the renovation story.
Her personal life is also connected to construction. She married contractor Blake Steed in 2018 after they met while working on the High Park playground project. The couple has two daughters.
Her publicly shared brain-tumor experience is another important part of her biography, particularly because she has used that experience to support the Meagan Bebenek Foundation and its work in pediatric brain-tumor research.
Financially, however, caution remains necessary.
Sherry Holmes’ exact net worth has not been publicly verified. Some online sources have reported approximately $2 million, but there is no audited public evidence confirming that figure. Her income can reasonably be connected to her documented professional activities in construction, television, public speaking, media, and related work, but the exact value of those earnings and her assets remains private.
That is why the most accurate Sherry Holmes biography does not pretend to know a precise fortune that has never been publicly documented.
Instead, the available evidence shows a professional who has built a career across construction, television, digital renovation, and skilled-trades advocacy—and who continues to develop her own identity within the industry.
